For the Irish Dry Stout style, Murphy's is good, however in my opinion, the style is blown to bits by Imperial/Double Stouts.
I second the Ten Fidy and Old Rasputin recommendation. I'd add Bell's Expedition Stout, Founder's Breakfast Stout, and Rogue Shakespeare Stout (not an Imperial).
Be open-minded and give some of these a shot, they're quite different from Irish Dry Stouts.

Scuzzo, what makes you think a large conglomerate buying over a small brewery suddenly makes their beer "mass produced"? Irish stout is the only stout and murphy's and beamish are up there at the top. You're just infected with this microbrewery obsessed "drink the obscure" nonsense - as for "real american made" Americans can't do stout any more than they can do soccer or proper rally driving!
