Half of European men share King Tut's DNA

(Reuters) - Up to 70 percent of British men and half of all Western European men are related to the Egyptian Pharaoh Tutankhamun, geneticists in Switzerland said.

Scientists at Zurich-based DNA genealogy centre, iGENEA, reconstructed the DNA profile of the boy Pharaoh, who ascended the throne at the age of nine, his father Akhenaten and grandfather Amenhotep III, based on a film that was made for the Discovery Channel.

This video has proven to be bullshit already...Hawass recent DNA match shows that 18th dynasty were mostly sub-Saharan DNA and R1b exists today in Africa amongst the blacks in central and southeastern Africa...the r1b in Europe is different cos there r more letters behind its r1b showing its a different r1b DNA pattern whereas the African r1b has more letters behind it but they r different from the euros. showing that the markers r different

@wilb6657 I totally agree. My own research into Dr. Zahi Hawass showed high levels of contradiction. The problem is that unless you have "purchase" regarding racial issues and the sheer stupidity of denying the hisotry of an African place "black", then you wont find the contradictions. The man tries to paint black Africans out of their own heritage. Its very sad.

@DEFACTO9 Dr. Zahi Hawass is a liar, at least where the ethnicity of the Ancient Egyptians is concerned. The DNA evidence uncovered by Zahi Hawass and his team contradicts his earlier statements about "Egyptians not being black". But of course, Dr. Hawass tried to keep this stuff under wraps. However, now that the "good" Dr. Hawass has been removed from office..the truth is coming out.

@ThothX DNA Tribes, on the other hand, had access to the ACTUAL GENETIC INFORMATION retrieved from King Tut by Zahi Hawass and his team. They plugged said data into their calculations-and guess what?! The results came back as MOSTLY AFRICAN!! Oooh..the truth hurts, don't it?! "King Tut R1B" is a hoax, and only dumbasses like you still believe it.
