  • Wonder with he listened to the song itself or the piano transcribed version. It almost seems like listening directly to the song with various intruments and singing would result in different sounds with you heard it by ear.

  • @dwighthine Derek has learnt this just by hearing the record many times - everything is 'transcribed' or improvised as he goes, and he rarely plays a piece the same twice!
