@arkady714 what a beautiful memory to have :)

@annalaren I was headed to Paris from Luxembourg. It's a long story. But do know that your reply to my post was very encouraging because it does involve writing. Something I've only recently started. Take care.

@arkady714 ok, so i'm reading your comment a year later, but what an interesting one at that. wherever u may have been going in your suit & tie ~ let's hope it involved writing of some sort. wonderfully said...

How did this guy become so BAD at lyrics? He's not very good without Garfunkel.

Too bad this album gets overlooked because of Graceland.

I heard this on the radio recently and it got me down the highway. I knew it was Paul Simon but I had to research it to find the LP from 1991 Rhythm of The Saints... He was still in his Africa mode. Really good!

In the spring of '91 I lived on the French - German border and every Friday I would get out of work with just minutes to spare before hopping on a train to Paris to visit my friends. Still in suit and tie, I would bolt to the train station and board the train breathless.
This was my album of that time and this song kept perfect time with the train ride of the warm evening...the sun setting and the brilliance of my youth and European future. Such great days.
