That's mean, you shouldn't kill the cat for using a good food source! You trapped it, now let animal control take it away or you drive it out to the wild where it will never bother you again. Yes I know they kill a lot, but as an animal, it's wise to eat what you can, when you can.

The bobcats are so fast. I have trouble shooting them. I have other pets so I cannot use traps. I may make a little fragmentation grenade out of fireworks supplies just for the bobcat. That will slow it down so I can put some buckshot into it.

@AugustusLarch That's the strange thing. You could almost understand when they kill them and eat them but often bobcats just go on this killing spree and kill everything they see. They just leave destruction behind. So, you have to take them out. Because they'll keep coming back for more. No stopping them, except by trapping and killing them.

I need a trap like that. A cat killed all my chickens and ducks. It ate only three. The rest were left dead. Good job.

Where are you from? I just had a bobcat kill a bunch of my chickens. I didn't know they were even in this area...well I knew they were but I thought they were further on down the road. I'm scared to let my kids play outside now. The attack was right in the middle of the day. I thought they were nocturnal.

@fishersfishery I live in East Texas. We only get them bad when its really cold. And after killing this guy we haven't seen anymore.
