From One Foot in the Past. Elaine Harwood visits iconic, modern 1930s buildings by British architect Wells Coats. First stop is the Isokon in Hampstead, London, and then it is off to admire the ocean-liner grace of Embassy Court, Brighton. From One Foot in the Past c.1994.

  • Currently doing a dissertation on Isokon building Hampstead, thanks for the video helped a lot. Its disappointing that the modern lifestyle never picked up again, would have brought people together as opposed to the society we live in today.

  • Since this programme , Embassy court in Brighton has been completely restored to it's former glory and looks beautiful !

  • Thanks for the video - I lived in Isokon. ciak riccardo
