Chapter 3

"Oh my god, that was so much fun!" Briana exclaimed as they got out of the building "And Kevin touched me! AHHHH!"
"We so owned the show!" Olivia said.
"Oh yeah" Maddy said, as she slapped high-five with Olivia and Briana.
About them being a band -- they had formed a band since the three of them loved music. They had been practicing a lot of songs sung by various artists, and now they were writing their first own song. But none of them planned on going into show-biz -- music was just their hobby.
"Oh my god, I think I forgot my 'I Love You Joe' Board inside" Maddy gasped "I thought I did put it in my bag... I'll go get it, you guys wait here"
"Okay" Briana and Olivia said, as Maddy ran inside.

Inside, it looked so big and empty with no people. She ran over to her seat, and found her board. But then she tripped on one of the seats, and fell down.
"Ow..." She murmured.
"Are you okay?" A voice called from above.
Maddy looked up, and found Nick reaching out his hand to help her up.
"Yeah... I'm fine" She felt her face turn red as she took Nick's hand.
How embarrassing! She thought.
"Listen, um..." Nick looked straight into Maddy's eyes "You were awesome on the drums, and I was wondering if... You know, we could go have lunch or something... And you know, talk"
Maddy's jaw dropped open. She couldn't believe her ears. Her imagination had come true. If only this were Joe.
Before Maddy could answer, a girl called from behind Nick.
"Niii-ck!"
Maddy had heard this voice somewhere before...
Nick whirled around.
"Miley!" He said.
Now Maddy couldn't believe her eyes -- Miley was the girl from the concert, the one who was standing behind her.
"Hi" Miley said to Maddy, in not such a perky tone as she had called Nick's name.
"Uh...Hi" Maddy responded.
"So... Whadduya say?" Nick asked Maddy, ignoring Miley.
"What does she think about what?" Miley interrupted before Maddy could say anything -- again.
"I asked her out" Nick told Miley.
Miley looked at Maddy, startled. Maddy thought they were going out, and she wanted to ask about that. But now didn't seem like a good time.
"So" Nick turned back to Maddy "What do you think?"
"Um... I'd love to" Maddy answered.
Funny. She was supposed to be in love with Joe, but she was feeling something she had never felt before, talking to Nick. And it wasn't because he was a Jonas Brother. She just knew it had nothing to do with that.
Then Maddy remembered something.
"Hey, could I bring my other two friends with? You know, the girls from earlier?" She asked.
"Awesome" Nick said "Triple date"
"N-Nick, what are you doing!" Miley whispered so only Nick could hear. But Maddy could hear every single word.
"What? It's not like we're together or anything" Nick whispered back.
"Y-Yeah, but... She... She's..." Miley had nothing to respond with.
It was pretty obvious she didn't want Nick to go on a date with Maddy because she liked him. 'Like' liked him.
Miley stood there for a while. Awkward moment. Then she started whispering again.
"If you go out on a date, the media will find you" she said.
"So?" Nick said, not whispering this time.
He faced Maddy.
"Bring your friends here" he said "I'll introduce them to Joe and Kevin"
Maddy nodded and headed running to where Briana and Olivia was -- because she wanted to let them know fast, and because it was pretty darn awkward for Maddy to be there.
She could hear Nick and Miley talking behind her, but couldn't catch what they were saying.
