How long did Mexico actually own the American Southwest? 27 years. How about Spain? 300 years. And the US? 150.

How did Mexico even gain control of the land? By ousting Spain...without Spain, they never would've even acquired the land.

I don't understand how some Mexicans even think the American Southwest is their land..considering they "stole" the land from Spain (who "stole" the land from Native Americans) no differently than how the US "stole" the land from Mexico.
