January 2010 Think Humanity donated another 2,200 mosquito nets to refugees in Kyangwali, Uganda. The nets were given to new refugees arriving in the camp. We had them come to us in Mukarange near the Coburwas Learning Center. The reason is that we did not have a large number of nets and that can cause people to get upset if they do not receive one. Their name is on a list an names are called out. We sometimes make exceptions if we have extra nets, for example pregnant women. Most of those that receive nets are woemn and children. The camp is mostly made up of women and children due to war. We always demonstrate how to use the nets before giving them out. They must know the importance of using the nets and it can prevent death from malaria.
