1) It's a Kimura
2) He doesn't close guard
3) What does Mike Massenzio have to do with ProStar MMA?

When i started watching i thought "Wow a submission i've never seen before" then he goes up and around the arm, then i pressed the back button on my browser.

it's also called hammer lock. Hammer lock describes any arm joint manipulation to the back like that. There's even a dance move in ballroom dancing with same thing, and also, called hammer lock.

thats a kimura

This is Gyaku Ude-garami aka Kimura aka Reverse Keylock. If you want to good example of a real hammerlock then watch Shinya Aoki break Mizuto Hirota's arm with it.

The standard Jiu-Jitsu Kimura uses more leverage he seems to muscle the arm to submission instead of using hips. however he should set up arm around elbow before grabbing wrist, otherwise there is room to pull out especially against a bigger opponent.

Shinya Aoki did the real Hammer Lock and he snapped his opponent's arm...that was just freaking sick!

The fuck are you complaining about? Fuckings Whiners!

@Diesel1962 1.) its a double wrist lock. (catch wrestling).
-
Kimura? I was taught a different hammer lock or solder lock very effective

@sopphus that's cuz your cool like that!
there are several ways to finish this submission. depending on where your opponent's body is you may be unable to move your torso so this is just one other way to finish. when we do videos we try to show the most basic, easiest way to complete it. there are a lot little things that each submission requires but we only show our students at the school. i do appreciate the comments though! looked at your page...nice!
