With help from Ellen Ripley (as portrayed by Sigourney Weaver) , Darryl and Lauren take a stab at saving the world from evil alien creatures in Alien 3. Watch out for those embryos!

Let's Play Again is much like the other Let's Play shows in that we play through games providing our own commentary. Unlike most Let's Play shows, our theme consists strictly of Sega Mega Drive (Genesis) Games. That's right folks, we're going A-Z (or more technically #-Z) through all of the Sega Mega Drive (Genesis) games and letting you know which ones you should break out again, and those that you should just leave on the shelf.

  • I have this for SNES lol

  • >_> The whole 'unfair' remark makes me roll my eyes. Obviously this 'girl gamer' should steer clear of other challenging games like 'Catherine'. For reals. As a girl gamer myself I actually found this game incredibly easy. And I played this game when I was 11! O_o

  • sorry, this must be the worst LP-video I've seen. You don't seem to concentrate on the game and only play 2 first levels. Word describing this vid would be "shallow".

And I also disagree on how this game is "so hard" and "unfair".. geez, it's supposed to be challenging and rewarding..

  • @MrBOPESquad2 well, the girl in the intro isn't a teen, so it's clearly not that obvious.

Either way, when enemies pop-up so quickly you don't have time to react, you can say it's "true to the Alien genre", but that doesn't necessarily make it good or fun to play. It's just different points of view.

Besides, I wouldn't say it was that hard. I don't remember struggling that much.

  • @MrBOPESquad2 all great games, as was Alien 3. Not sure about the "tween-ager" remark though.

  • ps I prefer the SNES version though, good vid btw!

  • one of my favrourite games , I have this running via an EMU on my Gizmondo, great for killing time at the GP`s waiting room or on the bus etc..

  • That intro song is catchy.

  • I actually love this game. It's one of my favorite offerings on the system. (Try the weak NES version for comparison.) The game certainly has a learning curve, but the tension is delightful.

If you think that the game is unfair, watch the film. David Fincher managed to make the third entry bleaker than the first two put together. (If this game were more faithful to its source, you would have no weapons and would not be allowed to beat the game without simultaneously losing the game.)
