The PS3 was a response to the XBox 360, so of course it's powerful, but due to the price of the damn thing, the cost of development for it and the fact that the XBox 360's market is still in pretty much full swing, there isn't really much out for it, and won't be for some time. That being said, it's potential should be pretty huge, just needs to drop in price and have a large number of hit titles for it.
