I saw them at Qld Uni and Alhepa Hall opposite the Caxton Hotel as a two pieve with only 2 or 3 songs which they performed twice. I didn't like the songs. I still dislike Karen and Lee Remick but thought they had something and I identified with Robert almost immediately. It came with Cattle and Cane and continued to flow. A nostalgic melancholy thats both painful and beautiful.

First Go Betweens song I ever heard, by accident, late night radio, autumn 1985. Safe to say, this changed my musical tastes forever.
