  • @lennonista9 "beatles bigger than jesus" isnt the truth. so nothing

  • @thekbsshow10 Since when is it wrong to speak the truth?

  • i love lennon, dont get me wrong, but it was wrong for him to say that. but ppl are a little crazy for burning the records and going crazy like that!

  • At any rate, this entire fiasco proved that there was no co-ordination amongst them all of personal opinion or that there was any "leader". If there was any revolution or evolution, as far as people listening might be concerned, it was that John was frank and honestly spoke his mind. No bullshit. He called bullshit. And he was right. And it was the press that made it that way. After all, the press wasn't running in droves after some preacher. Paul also pointed that out in regard to LSD.

  • . . . I mean, after all . . . those crowds weren't running to the doors to be converted to anything.

  • It was a true statement. Plain and simple. The reaction pointed up double-mindedness and showed his words struck the conscience. What followed was a demonstration of a lack of tact. Non-reaction would have been better and would have been a better demonstration of the principles inherent in the words of the person they supposedly adore or follow.

  • How stupid & ignorant people can be. John never said anything wrong. He was saying what was blatantly true, particularly in England. In fact, his comment was made in an ENGLISH paper, & America got a hold of it & blew it WAY out of proportion. And all these "good" God-fearing/loving Christians trying to express their disdain for John's remark, (which was HIGHLY misinterpreted), by burning the boys' records & sending John & his family death threats. Religious hypocrites, much? :p~~~~~~~

  • "We all have our rights you know" said John. Fact was, what he said was simply fact. At that time, more people were paying attention to the Beatles. Period. He made a mention of the fact and the fact bit him. And conscience did the rest. Like and 'oops'. These were just songs representative of childhood. A universal thing. Universal interest. What's the problem?

  • Thanks ! Fantastic unseen footage !

  • D: is this all?

I found some unseen footage. Very little, but it was great. Thanks!
