@krystalbaena Yeah, I know of the Pinochet dictatorship. Murder of Salvador Allende, Chicago Boys, etc, but I always forget the Pinochet connection to the educational system. Pinochet was seriously a monster, probably one of the (if not the most) autocratic dictators of Latin America; the Chileans need to remove the vestiges of his regime BADLY.

@TheHistorian211 It may seem "disproportional" to those unaware of Chile's history. The education system in place was Pinochet's last official act to release free-market forces on education creating a two-tiered system. Pinochet's dictatorship ran from 1973-1990- 17 YEARS! Up to 3,200 people killed, 80,000 interned and 30,000 were tortured including women and children. Is it not understandable to see the passion behind the Chilean people's motive to be rid of anything left behind by this man?

Really epic clip. It just seems disproportional to the issue (free education). You'd think they were calling for the overthrow of the government with the anger and despair.
