Nagapooja performed as Lord Shiva - Natyanjali dance - 2

Well and wish the same. My daughter Nagapooja had an opportunity by divine grace to dance before Lord Nataraja of Chidambaram Temple as Lord Shiva. I am sending this Link to view the dance which she performed before the Lord.


The annual dance festivals held in temples to coincide with the festival of Shivaratri are growing in Tamil Nadu. In a way, these festivals are bringing back dance to where it belonged.


The practice was revived in a very small and symbolic manner at the famed Nataraja Temple in Chidambaram, a little over 25 years ago. This initiative was the work of a few people who were passionate about Indian music and dance.

Amazing foot work appears to be tuned like Kuchipudi style,I think so. But it is beautiful because of the foot steps of the artists. It is a memorable experience to watch this performance.
