@Ilikemeows They refer to the Korean film Brotherhood. In the UK it was called Brotherhood: Taegukgi and in the USA it was called Tae Guk Gi: The Brotherhood of War.

@jason200912 Letters From Iwo Jima is well, the story of the Japanese defence of the Iwo Jima islands, Directed by Clint Eastwood, Another is its sister film, Flags Of Our Fathers, which is the same story, characters and director but it's showing the attack from the American perspective, another one is called Welcome to Dongmakol, about a group of south korean troops and north korean troops who converge on a small village in korea, in the end becoming friends, it sounds abit corny but its good!

there is going to be another good war film...a preview will be shown on the 15th at the Cannes...the people who helped create this film will make a film about a Korean soldier who fights for the japanese, russians, and the germans. I heard the production value will be compared to Red Cliff

it'll be great if you understand chinese, cos translations are never close to accurate. It gives a different feel altogether
Its not just any movie, its a true story. There was an video interview with the captain who was the sole survivor of his company.
Basically his company was fighting some rear guard action to hold off the KMT and were told not to retreat unless the bugle sounded.
Of course it didn't since they were being sacrificed to hold off the KMT while the PLA retreated.
