A shot video of clips giving a flavour of the events at Kidderminster Town Station when the SVR hosted it's annual 1940's weekend. Despite heavy rain during the evening of Tuesday 19th June 2007. The event still went ahead albeit trains only ran between Kidderminster and Bewdley. The SVR is still open between Kidderminster and Bewdley; a full appeal will be launched on Monday 25th June 2007 to get more information check out http://www.svr.co.uk/cgi-bin/WebObjects/SVR.woa/wa/news

We see a Spitfire, Hurricane and Dehavilland as well as various 1940's buildings, including a 1940's house an ARP post and a WH Smith newspaper shop kitted out with 1940's newspapers. Apologies for the poor jumpiness of the pictures of the fly past this was my 1st attempt at filming a fast moving object.

  • Thanks, when I had a look at the footage I was a bit disapointed that I couldnt keep the planes in shot all the time.

  • I live next door to the SVR and will never get used to seeing these wonderful planes flying over my house, beautiful sound

  • A good job , Hope you will video another similar event .

  • Very nice, but the "DeHavilland" wasn't a "DeHavilland" - it was a Douglas DC3 Dakota (or perhaps the US forces variant - the C47).

  • Oh this should be fun, i'll be first aiding on the saturday!

  • I was there. What a fantastic weekend. A pity that we had to return to 2007. Still, heres to this year!

  • Yeah... 5 Stars Tim... \(^o^)/
