when i was young i had 2 rats.similar to the ones in this vid.my friend had a snake...it didnt eat so i saved the rats.i had hamsters when i was a child.all my rats and hamsters lived real long.5 years....hamster lived 6.i had them out of the cage alot.not as many as this.i dont understand people who disturb food chains with snakes.i wont feed a living thing to another.i use worms for bait and sometimes small fish but i felt guilt so i use lures.minimize on tracks humans leave.

The rats won't chew up all those blankets? I put a towel in with mine once and within a day it was full of holes!

@tchanabc That is a Critter Nation made by Midwest. It is the best cage I have ever had for rats.
Where ever they sell Midwest products, they should be able to bring it in for you. I also know they sell it online at Petsmart online and allpetsfurniture online. If you are in Canada, Flower Town Chichillas is the best place to buy them online.

i think theres too much ferd in this cage..ferd didnt look happy at all..he seems very poofy und realy dont know what to do at all...

@wegaify Ferd was ready for the move in. He was quite happy. All new rats are anxious when first moving into a cage of rats. My resident rats were all extremely gentle and welcomed him right away. We also did a week of intros before moving him in.

Is such a big cage difficult to clean?

@pinkygirl1999 Not at all... It takes me about an hour to completely scrub it down, I do this once a week. But everyday I wipe it down and clean up the soiled spot. Takes me about 5 minutes and I do this while the rats come out to play.
