As an active RPer on Sentinels, I can say that although Goldshire Inn in general is where decent RP goes to die, we can actually manage decent RP, simply by hiding. We don't simply all roll Rogues and stealth RP everywhere, we find nice, secluded spots, where we can actively RP without all of the trolls. If RP servers would go down, I found be forced to sell all of my Sucky RP Gear (NOOOO!!!) and just go play the game normally. Which SUCKS. IF I dont let my insane imagination run, I go insane.

Goldshire is not that bad on some servers, like Garona. Its used as a meet up for friends, duels, and new players. I dislike how Moonguard is giving Goldshire a bad reputation.

i one time was in a dungeon on my goblin shaman (he was lvl 16 at the time and i was doing my first random dungeon on that toon) and there was another goblin from moon guard and he started needing on every single thing he could need on, his excuse was "I'm from a RP server and im a goblin, you should know that ALL goblins are VEEERRRYYYY greedy and want everything just to make a few gold." after needing on about 10 other BoEs/BoPs, we kicked him... this goes to show you how stupid RP can be....

The issue is, quite bloody frankly, that most roleplayers have this incredibly incessant and whiny "Blizzard don't care about us, so let's not bother reporting QQ" attitude. And then they don't report the rulebreakers. And then the rulebreakers don't get punished because of the reactive response system. Oh, and I'm a roleplayer and have played on a rp realm for 5 years, so I'm not trying to hate on anyone.

Basically, roleplayers should get their heads out their asses and keep reporting.

Blizzard don't actively police ANY realms (with the noticable exception of one US realm which they announced very loudly). They review ban reports reactively, not proactively.

That is to say, if you report someone for breaking any of any given realm's rules (yes, that includes not following specific RP realm rules) they will react to the report and ban/otherwise punish the individual in question if they've broken the rules.
