I don't think he actually hit her....more like he imagined hitting her, then changed his mind. If you notice, after he hugs her, there is a flash of her crying alone in a corner...that is what would have happened if he had hit her.

@CandiedStars Very true and you are very lucky, but there are girls that are not so lucky, or scared and run, or even abused by the parent. I am fortunate that my girls were never put in that situation, but I hope that I was the type of father that they would have known that they could tell me and let me be there for them if they did.

It's a nice ad, but I wonder why it assumes he might stop loving her if she was pregnant.

Angry yes, I'm pretty certain if I walked in and announced I was pregnant, my Dad would rage, but he would never EVER abandon or stop loving me or blame my child.

But the vast majority of Chinese Thais separate themselves from the real and ethnic Thais for shallow/elitist reasons. Its one thing I hate truly about Thailand. The current political problems in Thailand all originate from the Chinese-Thai. I am of European descent, by the way..
