The one thing their solo efforts prove is that they needed each other to achieve the true greatness their combined song writing reached.

Kim and the Breeders had some nice musical moments -> but it just doesn't stand out like the Pixies stuff did.

I think Joey may have made writing contributions to their tunes behind the scenes no one is aware of. Because none of Kim nor Frank's solo stuff quite stacks up.

Like so many other great bands, the sum is > than the individual parts.

What's the need for taking credit for being "the first" of singing about El Ninno?
