Stargate SG1 Stagione 1 - Season 1

Stargate SG-1 (abbreviato solitamente in SG-1 o SG1) è una serie televisiva di fantascienza basata sul film Stargate del 1994, scritto da Dean Devlin e Roland Emmerich e diretto da quest'ultimo. Emmerich aveva inizialmente l'intenzione di realizzare altri due film, creando così una trilogia di Stargate. Il progetto fu però abbandonato, e così la MGM poté acquistare i diritti e le licenze necessarie per mandare in onda una serie televisiva basata sull'universo di Stargate. Gli sceneggiatori sono stati in grado di creare sui presupposti del film, un intero nuovo universo, popolato da numerose razze aliene che, grazie alla loro avanzata tecnologia, si sono suddivise il controllo dei vari settori dello spazio.
L'episodio pilota è stato trasmesso negli Stati Uniti il 27 luglio 1997 sul canale Showtime, che ha ospitato la serie fino alla sua quinta stagione. Dalla sesta stagione la serie è trasmessa da Sci Fi Channel, che attualmente ne detiene l'esclusiva.
Il telefilm si differenzia da altre serie televisive fantascientifiche di successo come Star Trek o Babylon 5, essendo ambientato non in un futuro imprecisato, bensì ai giorni nostri, nello stesso periodo in cui viene mandato in onda.
Il film Stargate terminava con l'uccisione del crudele alieno Ra (considerato un dio dagli antichi egizi), il salvataggio della popolazione del pianeta Abydos, ed il ritorno della squadra sulla Terra. La serie tv riparte da qui, circa un anno dopo questi avvenimenti.

Stargate SG-1 (often abbreviated as SG-1) is an American-Canadian science fiction television series, part of the Stargate franchise. Its story begins one year after the events of the 1994 science fiction film Stargate. It was produced in and around Vancouver, British Columbia.The series is currently broadcast in several countries around the world; in some places, such as Europe, North America, Japan, Latin America and Australia, the series is broadcast in HD.
In the Stargate science fiction universe, a network of ancient alien devices called Stargates connects the far reaches of several galaxies, including the Milky Way, Pegasus and Ori galaxies, opening the door for near-instantaneous interstellar travel. Stargate SG-1 chronicles the exploits of SG-1, the "flagship team" of at least 25 teams who explore the galaxy and defend Earth against alien threats such as the Goa'uld, Replicators and later the Ori.
In 2007, after completion of the series run, Stargate SG-1 was named as number 28 on TV Guide's list of "The 30 Top Cult Shows Ever".
Stargate SG-1 follows the present-day adventures of SG-1, a military team from Earth that, along with two dozen other SG teams, ventures to distant planets through an alien device known as a Stargate which is housed in a top-secret U.S. military base known as the Stargate Command (SGC) underneath Cheyenne Mountain. The mission of the SG teams is to explore the galaxy and search for technology and alliances with friendly advanced races for defense from the Goa'uld, a parasitic alien race which started taking humans as unwilling hosts thousands of years ago and transported them to other habitable planets across the galaxy. The Ori are introduced in the show's ninth season as the new main villain.

beh, veramente io ho visto tutte le serie di star trek (e per serie intendo tng ds9 voyager)

ma cmq Stargate SG1 rimane sempre il top di tutte le serie telvisive...

Poi atlantis pure è bello ed interessante, ma l'SG1 è insostituibbile!!!

evitate di guardare Universe se non volete una bruciante delusione. Hanno trasformato un format favoloso in una spece di Lost-Grande Fratello-Soap Teen Opera del piffero. E' uno schifo. Davvero. (e poi non c'e' Dean Anderson)
