From late 1996, here is a Discovery Channel show "Movie Magic" (which I have dozens of in their entirety!), on some effects and model-making used in Star Trek Deep Space Nine. This is part 1 of 2.

  • @howardkevinm Blu-Ray, there is supposed to be "test" episodes coming out later this year.

  • @Clay3613 do u know when the DVDs are supposed to come out? i would love to see how it comes out remastered.

  • @howardkevinm They will now, everything from TNG is being remastered.

  • DS9 is really where they started to actually show damage on the set. i mean in TNG when they get shot ppl just jumped in their seats like it was moving, where in DS9 half the bridge explodes. also TNG didnt really have graphics. hell they used a big ship and a tiny camera to make it look like the ship was moving through space.

  • Gotta love how the Discovery Channel, which is supposed to be scientific, refers to space as a "zero gravity" area, and talks about blasting a ship "out of the galaxy." A minor dialogue issue, but interesting nonetheless. :)

  • Thanks for putting this up, just found my VHS tape and didn't know if I should bother! Well Done!
