Chad & Jeremy were among the first successful groups in the U.S. during the British Invasion. Their first single, "Yesterday's Gone", written by David Stuart(Chad) and Wendy Kidd, released in the U.K. on Ember Records and in the U.S. on World Artists Records, was a hit in both countries, making the Billboard Top Five during the spring of 1964. The song was included on their first LP of the same name and can be found on several CD collections.

  • This takes me back. I never hear them anymore. Thanks for posting.

  • This is the very first song I heard from Chad and Jeremy. So, so long ago! Heard it on the Dallas AM rock 'n roll station KLIF...it was the "Pick Hit of the Week"...I was hooked from the very first listen! I can't believe I still have such vivid memories after all this time! Thanks for posting it!!!

  • This brings back pleasnt memories of being a 6th & 7th grader, and like so many other kids being wowed by the British Invasion.

  • @Upsiditus Good point. It gives a kind of unease within the Easy Listening quality. I love this song, and I'm an old punk.

  • I knew of these guys but didn't pay much attention until I found there music on the net. Now I am becoming a fan.

  • This was a good song. I have a personal theory that the guitar is being played deliberately out of tune in several places to suggest that perhaps yesterday was not entirely better...

  • oh i love choad and jeremy

  • Those of us in our 60s will remember this song when it first came out....we were so young, and full of dreams....mine came true!! Suzi
