Wat für een Platt is dat?

Sounds very similar to Dutch language!!!I think this is the reason, some linguists classify Dutch as a part of Low German dialect.

Is this Amish, like in the United States, or just southern Germany?

I would love to learn my grandfather's tongue. He never taught it to any member of my family before he died and I always had an interest in learning it. By the way, love the format with subtitles in both languages. Please make more!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am so happy you guys did this, great job by the way and yes please keep them coming!....Some ideas I thought of would be: things around the house, regular conversation (or how to start up a conversation), things you would say to your children (sit down, be careful, etc), things related to the different seasons. Not sure if that was of any help, if I think of any other suggestions I will be sure to share. Love how the lesson in sentences not just words! Thanks!!
