  • Romamruin is right.Big Joe needs those saxes and a pianist who can boogie along with him.

    Poor,poor Joe.

  • The Chess boys ain't at their best on this one..they sound real lame... what a shame... insipid

backing..bloody awful... I would have fired the lot of 'em!

    Amateur Hour!!!!! Poor Joe...

  • Man I wish I was there! But at least somebody videoed this!!!! Thanx 4 sharing!

  • She's so small

She can mambo in a pay phone booth!

  • Big Joe was a natural talent. His hit records on Atlantic in the 1950's were all produced by Jessie Stone. Stone wrote almost all the songs. Big Joe didn't make a lot of money during his big years because of contract problems.

  • Big Joe Turner was such a talent and that band sounds like it's asleep behind him. They are barely accompanying him.

  • wow--I once heard that joe turner was called the 'singing bartenter' because his voice was so big that he could serve drinks on one side of the room as the band played on the other side and everyone could hear him. Now they call that mutitasking......heh heh.

  • this is too damn cool!!
