Occupy Tampa gets visit from Assistant Police Chief John Bennet

On November 3rd 2011 Occupy Tampa was on the Tampa City Council docket for the City Council Meeting. Tapa Police Department Assistant Police Chief John Bennet spoke to City Council about his thoughts about Occupy Tampa and the direction that the protest is taking. After the meeting at City Hall Assistant Chief Bennet took his lunch hour and walked down to the front of Curtis Hixon Park where Occupy Tampa are staged to talk to the group in person. Perhaps he went to the location to speak, however, what were his motives? No doubt to further his interests and advance his endeavors. Why was he not arrested for obstructing the sidewalk as he stood there for more than half an hour talking jargon while that is what he is having his thugs on the Tampa Police Department do to others while they gather peacefully, I have zero respect for Bennet and his efforts were superficial and trasparent.

I understand GOP officials have already met w/ Tampa officials about abridging the freedom of speech & the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances when they hold their Convention in Tampa.

I understand The Dem Party also wants the Const suspended in Charlot when they meet there.
