I'm supporting you here Bro.Polygamy Exist pre-Islam , before Muhammad came. People already had more than 1 wives , some 10 , 20
Oh yeah the most of all was prophet David with 100 wives.Some ancient cultures already had polygamy e.g china royalties had several wives and numerable concubines..
Muhammad's companion were shocked by the 4 wives law.. cause they had to divorce some of their wives.
Islam put a limit to number of wives, Period.
