@wizardandboy, That's interesting that the road to the crystal city represents our transformation from lower to higher states of consciousness. St. Augustine described The City of God as marked by people who forgot their earthly pleasure to dedicate themselves to the eternal truths of love for one another and God. I suppose that many different spiritual traditions have similar visions of an idealized society in which highly evolved souls cooperate in communities for the common good of all...

@CosmicFork, I haven’t read Sr Augustine’s words but I would say so. The Crystal City is the community of all people working towards a world governed by higher values, soul compassion and unconditional love. ‘City of God’ sounds like a good description of such a world If you listen to the other stories of Shaoni you will see the concept come back all through the book/audiobook. The road to the crystal city represents the road from lower to higher consciousness

Rather, we acknowledge that our life's true purpose is to once again re-awaken to the infinite Love, Power and the Divine Wisdom that is the divine blueprint of the heart of our divine and individualized I AM Presence that is both within and above us. The awareness of the I AM grows within us, as we place our consciousness upon its Eternal Light.
