American Design from 20's Deco, to 40's Streamline, to 50-60's Atomic Moderne was so cool...that it, until the earth-tone macrame hippies came and spoiled it all!

@ivanofna I can't quite see why a revival of styles from the 1950's-70's in 2010-2019 would be uncool by 2020... unless 2020-2030 will be -at least- as good as (or better than) the dot-com 90's.

I'm definitely ready to put the white walls, white carpet and colorless attitudes of the past 15 years behind me.

I Love Vintage Stuff Like this.....besides being more Original and Exciting (Modern Stuff is Boring in Comparison) Stuff in those Days was Really made in the US...not a Chineese Import so they were built well and lasted long.....i really wish i was around in those days to see all of that good stuff and whatnot.

im not sure this stuff will ever go out of style, these designs r timeless and r very popular today expecially the old kitchens r becoming hits, almost every tv commercial thats set in a kitchen always has a vintage stove in the backround so the 50's and 60's r back and im sure they will be around still 4 another 50 years or more
These are still cool today, but I'm old enough to remember when this stuff had become uncool: the 1970s during the back-to-nature epoch of natural fibers, earthtones, and casual comfort. At that time, designs like this were considered silly-looking (I associated them with the institutional furniture of hospitals and libraries). By the 80s, they had come back in, part of a wave of 50s and 60s revivals in music, art, and design that has continued to this day.

very cool...
I'm redoing my room in a sort of pop-art 50's retro theme... so I need to find some cool furniture to add the real mood of that style
