... and the final death blow comes from a moogle!

I digressed before I could even begin. Where were we...

This is a normally hard mission, low level challenge or not, as you have to worry about your party members not dying. Die in a Jagd and you're... heh, dead.

This time around our party consists of:

Thief/Blue Mage
2x Assassin/Item
2x Thief/Juggler

We wait for the enemy's Assassin and Ninja to take their turns, then use Night. Hopefully, most enemies have fallen asleep now. The most dangerous ones are Assassin, Ninja and Hunter. If any of these three fall asleep, Last Breath/Rockseal them ASAP (the Assassin is immune to instant death, iirc, so Rockseal is the way to go there).

Dedicate one Smiling moogle to each Assassin, so that the girls quickly restore MP with Ethers and rid the battlefield of another victim.

I had great luck in this battle. Most attacks missed me, Night put most of the foes to sleep and the only time I used a Last Breath on an awake enemy it didn't miss.

After we finish the next storyline mission, we will get our hands on Concentrate! Essential for Humans and Viera, really!

  • only played bit of game but

what are reasons for juggler+smile better than time wizard+quicken?

    juggler has more speed?

  • Time Mage's Quicken requires too much MP. I can't afford that at level 2. Stats don't matter, since you can hire a unit with whatever stat you wish and then just change his class.

  • what's that wings status effect your team has?

  • Wings status? Must be Auto-Reraise from the Angel Rings.

  • how do you get so many mate?

  • Steal one during a mission, forfeit, repeat.

  • Awesome as always Boss. Though I wonder, why does the enemy get the black clothed assassins. I'd much rather have them then the red tinted ones.

  • The challenge can be done without the high-level guy, but I'd spend a few more hours preparing for each mission if I did it that way. Not really worth it, since the only thing that changes is how much time you waste.

  • So that's how you do it.

Cheater. I mean sweet thinking dude.

  • Nothing I could do about it, once again. They'll start the next mission at level 2 anyway (since I reset after clearing a mission and beat it with a high-level unit to keep myself from going insane).
