This is the first video in a series that I am doing. The series is a beginners to intermediates guide, to PC Water-cooling. I hope to help as many people as I can, through every step of building a water-cooled PC. In this episode I talk about the components needed to build a water-cooling system and their different specifications. In the next episode I will talk about how to design your water-cooling system, so that its compatible with your hardware and fits in your case. Then in the following episodes I will go through the assembly process and finally I will do some testing.

  • is it possible to put two different cooling systems in a pc to cool to sides of it, say like one side would be cpu memory and north south bridge, with the other straight cooling for the graphics, harddrive

  • @djplace16 A dual loop system. Theres one in this video.

  • Would a radiator with 2x120mm fans and 30 FPI be good for overclocking an i7?

  • @E1337Hacks No not if you want to actually get somewhere with your overclocking. You really need a 360mm radiator.

  • @aonub Performance PC's is the best shop I have found in the world for Water-cooling and Modding. You are lucky because its in the states, I have to order parts all the way out to Australia.

  • Would one Triple Radiator be able to cool a CPU and GPU?

  • @IMxLEGITxBEAST if your not overclocking then you need 120mm of radiator per part, so for 2 GPU's and a CPU then a triple will be fine but if your overclocking your cpu like hell then a triple will be enough with one card if you want good temps

  • is a triple rad + a single rad with about 12fpi with gelid 120mm wings good enough for a i7 2600k and a 7950 (not overclocked yet) ?

oh its in a corsair 800d

  • @SingularityComputers Haha yea you know, A whole 1 MHz overclock

  • @stewood1000 Wow your smart lol. You actually can take the BLK up a bit. But I thought just in case he was getting a 2500K obviously.

  • @SingularityComputers How is @AlexBrodammit overclocking a 2500?

  • How much does this cost and is it better than the Corsair H100 price over performance wise because I'm only going to be overclocking the i5-2500k to 4.5ghz.

  • @SingularityComputers PC water cooling detailed guide??? You just got yourself a sub.

  • I'm thinking Alphacool Cape Cora HF 642 Konvekt. Not for overclocking, just silent and cool as possible, just a Core i7-2600(95watt), no overclock. Would it work nicely? And what if I used only 3 out of 6 modules of that Cape Cora? I would consider a XSPC Passive Aluminium Reservoir for good measure, just to cool it that bit extra.

And is there an easy way to just chill the water in the reservoir?

Or do I need this glycerine stuff I read about?
