John Kay and the "new" Steppenwolf were in Council Bluffs Iowa a few years ago at the Harrahs Casino. His lead guitar man had been with him since the 70's. Other than that, they were 30 year old kids having the TIME OF THEIR LIVES! They did not miss a beat! People were walking by the concert hall and opening the doors during "Born to be Wild"! The front row was Wheel-Chair bound persons and Nam Veterans who got "FREE" tickets from John himself. He walked through the crowd playing THE PUSHER!
