1996年，新加坡首部原创华语音乐剧《雨季》上演；2005年，实践剧场将郭宝崑的经典名著《老九》改编成音乐剧——至此，本地掀起了华语音乐剧的热潮。

《天冷就回来》两度演出的空前火爆；摇滚《聊斋》的疯狂创新；《雨季》时隔15年的华丽重现；《881》艳光四射地走进剧场......这些华语音乐剧为本地观众奉献了无­数首动人心弦的好听歌曲。

与其它形式的歌曲不同，这些音乐剧当中的歌曲不但有着美妙的音符，更加承载着述说故事的功能。正因为这些歌曲有着很强的叙事性，即使没有了戏剧演出，它们也能独立成为一场­精彩的演出。

因此，我们特别举行"新加坡华语音乐剧演唱会"—《唱•戏》，让你一网打尽，一次过享受5部音乐剧中美妙歌声所传达的故事和情意，感受本地著名音乐人梁文福、叶良俊、小寒­和黄韵仁等的深情作品。 也许你曾经为这些音乐剧着迷，也许你错过了欣赏好歌的机会......无论如何，这将是你不能错过的一场演出！

Tales sung, songs told.

December Rains, Singapore's first ever Mandarin musical was staged in 1996. In 2005, Kuo Pao Kun's iconic script, Lao Jiu, was adapted by The Theatre Practice into a musical. When jukebox musical "If There're Seasons..." exploded onto the scene to critical and box office acclaims in 2007 and its re-run in 2009, it led to a definite surge in the creation of original Singapore musicals.

What followed includes Liao Zhai Rocks!, Singapore's first ever Mandarin rock musical, lauded for being inventive and edgy; while December Rains was restaged in splendor after a 15-year hiatus. Most recently, 881: The Musical took getai's street allure into the theatre. The trove of songs from these musicals won the hearts of many audience members.

The popularity of musicals is derived not only from the flow of mellifluous songs, but also from the added depth of plot and character development expressed through these luscious tunes. Thus we have pieced together a medley of your favourite hit musical songs into a heavyweight concert.
