I am not sure about single cream, you can use buttermilk instead.

@sjoepa Sorry I live in The Netherlands and am originally from the USA and I already beat you to it! Lol there are so many types of cakes one can make with yeast with fillings etc,. This was normal in the old British days, France, etc, there are many cakes that utilize yeast, for a fluffier different type of texture. I do one with a chocolate filling! Ty for sharing your lemon recipe aanaaniska. The part that will be different for me will be processing the entire lemon, for an extra tangy cake!

huh.. now thats a different way to make a cake.. i usually just make it like how you would make anyother cake.. but this is different.
