2008 Mini Cooper S weird sound

Wind noise when going above 70 mph. I think its the windshield.

Yeah, I posted this so I can show the service manager via email what sound im hearing. It was really irritating hearing that sound for 4 hours driving back from vegas.

I had a same problem and finaly solved it.

the noise comes form the top of the windscreen and it ussualy appears when you hit 150-160km/h.

the service will advise you to re -glue the windscreen, but most times it is sufficient to clean (wash the car around teh windscreen and the go around the windscreen rubber seel twisting it a bit in and out,. regardles of how simple it sounds it works. mine doesn't make any more whinning sound even at 210km/h.

My mini does this but its more around doing 110mph not 70!!! i think your right its the lip on the windscreen
