i can hear bass, like i said before in the other vids, he uses a pedal which makes the guitar have the normal sound but has it an octave lower. Also, can anyone spell The White Stripes?

i thought this song was racist at first. on the album, its 2 white ppl that look like theyre being kidnapped by a bunch of shadows (to represent black ppl). The band is called the white scripes. the album is white blood cells. and the song even sounds like hes saying when i hear this nigga sound instead of hear your lips make a sound. thank goodness its not though. i wouldve been pissed. sounds like a good song

People used to wish for White Stirpes tracks on RB. Now that they're here, people are complaining due to the bass track. Well, what did you expect!!

Jack uses a baritone guitar. That's why the bass charts are chordy. they chart the baritone to bass.
The Beatles also used baritone guitars. on Birthday and a couple others in that time, in Beatles :RB you will see John or George playing the Fender Baritone.

watch them perform this song live and tell me if there is a bass guitar.... the portions they are calling the bass are when jack is using a distortion pedal.

though, i'm sure for the studio version the two guitar tones were recorded separately and combined together as they cross into each other at some points.

Jack plays both guitar parts himself, and the mix it in later.

"I thought the White Stripes didn't have a bassist?"

I believe you're playing rhythm guitar, not bass.

I was under the impression that it was just Jack and Meg... I'm really interested to see if the guitar and bass charts are identical.

The guitar and bass charts are actually reasonably different. I'm not sure what the situation is myself, maybe he played both guitars and mixed them for the album. But this doesn't sound or look like bass to me.
