June 17, 2010 - Storm Chaser Brandon Ivey was up in Northern Minnesota in the town of Wadena for the tornado outbreak on Thursday. Brandon shot video of a multi-vortex tornado that hit the town of Wadena, MN and sent debris flying in the air.
Up close video of the tornado over a house while the winds were ripping at the shingles.

  • this makes me so sad i drive past wadena every time i go to see my sister in perham the first time we went to perham it was a few months after the tornados i saw the school and the damage it was silent in our car untill we were out of wadena

  • He was from phillipdaphia to visit relatives up north of Lenord mn.

  • Last time I was at wadena I met a Amish guy who goes on my greyhound bus (jefferson line bus)

  • @g0d13ss Like I said though, I just hope we don't have a tornado outbreak like we did on june 17th of last year. The NWS was shocked that MORE didn't develop! That could've been REALLY bad! We had a wedge tornado moving towards us (I live in Duluth) but luckily it dissapaited before it got here. I think it was over by bemidji at the time.

  • @arohn2007 Not weird at all! I'm looking forward to it too.

  • @g0d13ss I wish I could've seen that! :) I know its weird to say but, I'm looking forward to severe weather season to begin! :) I REALLY hope we don't end up with a tornado outbreak like we had on June 17th of last year

  • @arohn2007 I remember one time a couple years ago we started out with thunderstorms that lasted all night long and then by afternoon it had heated up enough that we ended up under a tornado warning. Best rotation I had seen from any storm near here. Didn't produce, but the sky was just beautiful.

  • @elmolovesyou4245 I know I had a couple warnings in my town that I wasn't expecting..That goes to show how fast severe weather can pop up, especially if everything comes together at once.

  • @bnvn1 Thats impressive. Alot of times the weather switches alot within a month, so kudos to you for predicting that day

  • @g0d13ss same with me. :) If I know there's a risk for severe out, I've got my NOAA weather radio on ( table top and handheld) And yeah I agree..Once that heating gets tapped into, your in th risk area and a couple other ingredients that us spotters only know about (or care) come together, all bets are off. What most people don't understand is that if there are storms in the morning then the sun comes out and it becomes nice, it does NOT mean that its gonna stay that way.
