I agree...Jack has to die sometime, the guy can't live forever...he has 17 lives already!

They brought Tony back for a reason, I think they will try a season with Tony instead of Bauer (maybe).

Then again, they brought Tony (season 5) and Jack (season 3) back to life, anything can happen. next thing you know, Buchannan the zombie will attack the president.

I seriously doubt that. Keifer Sutherland is the lead actor of the entire series...if he gets replaced, I bet FOX will lose a lot of fans.

Not to be picky, but wasn't Jack wounded and bleeding prior to him killing Quinn two episodes ago? If so, why wasn't that revealed when Renee saw his battle scars?

LOVE 24! I think since Season 8 is being filmed right now, the producers and writers should have Jack and Renee married and making love when the season opens (since most fans want those two together anyway). Jack deserves a little fun and bathroom time before his next crisis. What do you all think?

If they do that it will hurt the ratings too much and the only way they could make a movie franchise is with Jack. Besides they have already come up with a cure for him. Also it looks that Doyle is blind now unfortunely because he was growing on me by the end of the season

Stupid, perhaps. But with studios constantly running out of ideas for new shows, they will do the movie to see Jack off (no pun intended) and see what kind of ratings it generates, as well as Keifer's interest in continuing the show.

Would it be difficult to replace Jack with someone else? Sure. (Remember, they brought Mike Doyle in last season as a possible replacement.) But don't think the producers aren't considering it.

yeah but there is only going to be one more season so it would be stupid to replace Jack for the last one. They also said that there is going to be a movie franchice, so the only way for that to work would bw with Jack

I doubt if Jack is ever killed off because any way he dies off after everything he's gone through would be considered cheesy by the fans.

If Renee is made the lead character, I doubt that she would be killed even if the show fails in the ratings as a result of Keifer's absence. It would simply mean that the show has run its course, and the producers would simply end it. And probably not in a blaze of glory for either character. Too many fans have invested in Jack for them to do that, I think.

Actually, 24 can be centered around anybody (technically speaking). We're just used to the show with Jack's character.

If the show proves that it can create interesting storylines with a strong lead character, they'll keep it running, regardless of whether Keifer is still there.

Consider "CSI", for example. Even though it could be consider an ensemble show, Grissom was clearly the lead character until he left. The show hasn't suffered in the ratings since Fishburne took over.

yea but if that happend they'd likely kill her off before Jack actually dies himself

without jack there would be no 24 and there is only going to be 8 seasons so it would be stupid to do something like that for only one season
