For those with rebellious teenagers...only the power of love will save us now. My perspective as a youngster in foster care and childrens homes. I havent had the greatest relationship with my mother the last few years, and we'v both made mistakes...but i think its important to forgive and work on it, especially in a family, and especially when someone is still growing up. As a rebbellious off the rails teenager (more than most)...i never really knew why i did half of the silly things i used to do, and i think adults should remember that. Especially if the child/teenager has been in anyway involved in domestic abuse or had a family bereavement. As adults we learn how to deal with these things but when your young you just dont know and i think a few adults forget that.

  • i can identify with everything youre saying,..the positive is you kinda have to grow up damn quick,..and that maturity prepares you for anything bad,..makes you stronger, things can change for the better, never forget that ;)

  • Well done, very brave of you to have done this. You've also brought up some good points - breaking the cycle of recurring family misery being the main one.

  • Thanks for this, you are great to have done this, and it makes me think about my attitude towards my teenagers.
