@knut761 Same here, I thought she was american, I had no idea she was english. Like with Hugh Laurie in House , he's english and I thought he was american until I saw an interview with him speaking with an english accent.

I haven't had the pleasure of watching this yet, but I will now that I know of it; hwr, that being said, I ABSOLUTELY HATE IT WHEN A MAN SAYS, "I SUPPORT YOU BY WORKING AT A JOB I HATE.." yet he doesn't get it. It's not the financial support a woman needs. There's more to life than $. You have to support each other emotionally. Money comes & goes but love, love is a whole other creature; without support in love, then money doesn't mean a thing. It's simply paper. Love can't exist in a vacuum.

To be honest, I didn't like the story of this movie, but I thought the acting was superb and the directing too. It seemed like real life, a very flat movie (I don't mean flat in a negative, just like a day-to-day, slow kind of "evolution" we all go thru. Sam Mendes did a terrific job capturing that).

I didn't think of the characters in terms of "who is right and who is wrong", but if I had to choose, April was DEFINITELY more "wrong". As far as I can tell, the only really bad thing Leo did was screw a chick, but April cheated too, so that cancels out. You can sympathize with April, but her unwillingness to accept the reailty of their situation drove her to death. I can't call that "right". And why was she so gung ho about being a secretary in Paris? It's trading one dead end job for another
