  • Baptism is an act of faith not a work. It is not all there is to salvation just the point at which we obtain salvation. Its where your sins are washed away. (Acts 22:16) Its also for the remission of sins.( Acts 2:38) One is buried into Christ's death and raised to walk in the newness of life.( Rom 6:3-4) (1 Peter 3:21) tells us baptism saves us. Every act of conversion in Acts included baptism. Don't just take my word for it. Read your bible and search the scriptures like the noble Bereans.

  • @horseman528 Baptism doesn't save you - becoming Born Again saves you!! You MUST make a verbal commitment to Jesus and the Kingdom of God, to become Born Again! You can't just do an act of obedience and expect that alone to get you to heaven!! When someone becomes the citizen of a new country, he must take an oath of allegiance to that new country, BEFORE he is made a citizen of that new country! The EXACT same thing is accomplished by praying the Prayer of Salvation!!

  • @joel10000a You're right, baptism alone saves no one. You must first believe and repent. A change in the heart is essential for baptism to be effective otherwise one is just getting wet but it is in baptism that your sins are washed away and you are buried with Christ into His death and raised to a newness of life. Acts 22:16, Rom. 6:3-4 One also puts on Christ in baptism. Gal. 3:27 Just like baptism alone doesn't save, the sinners prayer alone doesn't save.

  • @horseman528 You might be right but you also might be wrong about water baptism by immersion being necessary for salvation. I tell people, why take the chance, and I tell them to DEFINITELY become baptized by immersion as soon as they can, AFTER the have become Born Again!!

  • baptism is more or less a representation on cleaning of sins your dont nesessarily have to getwater on to you to be saved its the message behind it which is the most important part which is knowing youve sinned and through God you are renewed

  • @GabrielProductions1 There's only one way to get on the path to heaven, and that's by becoming Born Again! Jesus said that right in the Bible!

  • Ahhh yes, great chapters and verses! Great Letter! Praise Jesus!

  • Peter baptized into Jesus for salvation and so did Paul. Phillip baptized many as well. Do you really need to see the holes in His hands before you believe all the facts. All the Churches started by Paul taught water baptism for salvation. Read Romans 6, read Acts, read and you will find salvation in water baptism.

I came across this video today and I was very impressed, have a look from my site.

  • I'm not going to argue with you about water baptism, because I don't believe it is necessary to becoming Born Again. BUT I do believe it provides protection from demons. I believe a person is very foolish to refuse to be water baptized, after he is Born Again, because if it was good enough for Jesus, then I had better do it to as an act of obedience! Ephesians is for all Born Again Believers, period! Show me where it says in the Bible that the 12 Apostles were all water baptized! Can you?

  • The Truth about Ephesians

Paul is writing to the church in Ephesians, Everyone at that Church and all of Paul's Churches were baptized into Jesus for the remission of sins and filled with the Holy Ghost.

Unless you are baptized according to scripture and according to the Doctrine of Salvation as taught by Paul then Ephesians is NOT written for you nor does it apply to YOU!

Paul is explaining salvation to the Church--baptism puts you in the Church & the body SalvationJourney c0m
