Yes, slavery was the principal (not the only, just the principal) reason for the the Civil War. But feel free to try to make up something else and see if your bullshit sticks to the wall. And the South got wasted, by the way. Note how France doesn't celebrate Waterloo, and Italy does not celebrate wars against the Visigoths...
