That's exactly how a movie is NOT supposed to be watched. The first time you watch a film it's best you know little or nothing about it. Then it can have the maximum impact on you. A second, third, etc. viewing you try to make sense and 'understand' the film.

Shane Carruth retained rights to the movie (not a production company or studio) and insisted that the exclusivity period for theaters be 30 days before he can sell the movie directly to consumers. The movie is still playing in a number of theaters. Usually movie theaters insist on 90 days of exclusivity so they don't have to compete with DVD/Blu-Ray sales, which ultimately means the film maker/studio have to spend on marketing the movie twice - once for theatrical release and once for home.

Well said. definitely my favorite film of the year so far. Not confusing, just not driven by exposition as so many films are. It's a gift really. You get to walk away with something.
