Rascal Flatts chooses"Here Comes Goodbye", Chris Sligh Benefit Concert for Heaven's Loft

Chris Sligh, along with band members Clint Milburn, Jon Skaggs, and Tommy Lee, performed at a benefit concert for the Junior League of North LIttle Rock's Heaven's Loft project. The concert took place at Central Baptist Church in North LIttle Rock, AR on Jan. 17, 2009. "Here Comes Goodbye" is a song written by Clint Lagerberg and Chris that is the first single off the upcoming Rascal Flatts' album, "Unstoppable". Thank you, Chris, Clint, Jon and Tommy for an amazing concert, and Chris, I thank you again for your generosity in coming to Arkansas and making this event possible.

I think this is cool how it shows the songwriting behind alot of big songs. Most people probably thought that Rascal Flatts wrote "Here Comes Goodbye" but really Sligh wrote it and sent it out to get published and hopefully picked up by a big group. Of course Rascal Flatts did a number on it and the harmonies are beautiful as always with them, they're one of my favorites. Sligh probably enjoyed playing this for the last time before he got his $1,000,000 cheque for songwriting royalties lol !!
