Mr. Grainger has become increasingly bad-tempered, something which is not helped by him losing the centre display stand to Mrs. Slocombe for "bra week". The rest of the staff agree that he has to go, and when Mr. Harman tells Mr. Grainger of their decision he resigns first.

  • Arthur Brough died one year later. One awesome episode is coming up after this one: It Pays to Advertise. After that he was replaced 4 times and they weren't as good as he was. Best season are 1 till 5.

  • @ComedyStuff76 Absolutely agree. mind you i did love some episodes in the final season, like the robbery one.

  • Grainger has always been my favorite character on the show, both crotchety and lovable. Liked Alfie Bass as Goldberg the best among the replacements, but none were as great at Brough's character. Thanks mtwini09 for bringing these back.

  • @TheStarToursTraveler i will totally agree with you that some episodes with goldberg and tebbs were hilarious

  • Mr. Harmon "if i was you i would choose the honorable way out"

    Mr. Granger "Suicide?" rofl

  • @thenewmodfather I was just stating my personal preference. Granger had his moments but ultimately I prefer Tebbs and Goldberg. Just stating my opinion.

  • Mr. Harman is so sweet is this episode. Grainger's letter makes me cry.

  • @TheStarToursTraveler no there is no comparison

  • I actually liked Mr. Tebbs and Mr. Goldberg better than Granger.

  • From Mr. Grainger's letter: "and as for Mr. Humphries....Oh Dear..I did go too far!!"

  • What did Miss. Brahms get? I couldn't hear her over the laughing

  • I always wanted to meet Mrs. Axelby...
