  • wish they played more songs from being there

  • @redshaftedflicker What absolute bullshit. Parsons had to BEG Mick and Keith to let the Burritos cover "Wild Horses". And had to be thrown out of Nellcote because he was draining the scene, not being the altruistic creative genius you make him out to be. No one doubts that Parsons had talent, but why the hell you would make such a ridiculous, over-the-top claim is beyond me.

  • @pinchecabron666 I always find myself wishing that. That album was amazing.

  • @redshaftedflicker

Man, it first appeared on The Burritos' album but it was credited to Jagger and Richards. Why would Gram allow that to happen to his own song?Apparently he did not write it and Mick and Keith wrote many amazing songs such as Moonlight Mile,Dead Flowers, Sister Morphine, Gimme Shelter so they are pretty capable of writing a masterpiece like that one and as much as I love Gram it's The STone's version that should be deemed the definitive one.

  • False buddy. Written and produced by THE Rolling Stones.

  • Did Parsons really write Dead Flowers? Don't believe so, but wouldn't bet either way. He had enough influence over that whole scene, so why not.

  • It's Parsons who wrote the song and the Stones claiming it as their own. Mick and Keith couldn't write something that great if they tried.

  • Dude, Dead Flowers was the Rolling Stones. But it is kind of an interesting twist on that song. I wonder if Tweedy had that in mind when he penned this one. Never know.

  • good song, great band. you can feel the gram parsons influence here. ( dead flowers )
