save money this holiday season. This Christmas centerpiece can be constructed using many of the same materials as the homemade Christmas wreath. You can use trimmings from your Christmas tree for the pine branches that will surround the centerpiece candle.

Step 1: Gather Supplies

To make your Christmas centerpiece you will first need to gather the following supplies:

1. A tall candle

2. A large pottery plate

3. A floral foam brick

4. Floral tape

5. Large and small pine branches

6. Acorns

7. Cinnamon sticks

8. Decorative fruit

9. A glue gun

10. Wire edge ribbon

Step 2: Arrange the Centerpiece

Place the floral foam brick on top of the pottery plate. Wrap your floral tape around the foam and the plate to attach the two items together. Center your candle on top of the floral foam and press down firmly. You have now completed the base for your Christmas centerpiece.

Attach pine branches to the centerpiece base by firmly pressing the stems into the foam. Arrange the largest branches on the bottom and the smaller branches on the top. Wrap wire around your acorns, one at a time, leaving extra wire on either side. Stick exposed wire into the foam block to attach your acorns to the centerpiece. Continue to add acorns until you have covered all of the exposed foam.

Step 3: Apply the Finishing Touches

Now that you have completed the body of your Christmas centerpiece, it is time to add the finishing touches. Take three cinnamon sticks and bind them tightly together with wire. Cover the wire by tying a ribbon around the cinnamon stick bundle. Hot-glue the bundle to the centerpiece. Add decorative items, such as fake fruit or Christmas ornaments, by hot-gluing to various places on the centerpiece. @SubtleElegance318 I Totally agree with this post.

this woman has no idea what she is doing.

firstly, as she was using fake flowers she should of used that horrible grey dry oasis.

then the taping.. what the hell!! she used so much tape it was unnecesary.

she didnt wire or use toothpicks on the candle.

its also very full with no co-ordination she is just throwing it in there like its no-ones buisness.

Not to be rude but you used the wrong foam. That foam is for fresh flowers and foliage, I'm surprised it didn't break on you. You should have used anchor tape, not floral tape, it does not hold anything and only sticks to itself. And you should have taped toothpicks around the base of the candle to hold it in the foam. And those are Pine Cones...=O
