Think you need lots of room for trains? Not so. This HO scale railroad started out as a simple oval of track, nailed to a 3x4 piece of plywood, for use under our Christmas tree--and was put away after Christmas. Then, to make it a bit more interesting, I added a siding, then 2 sidings, then a double-oval with 4 sidings...then a road, and trees, and a few buildings. Now it stays up all year...including Christmas (although then, the trees & buildings are removed--and the tree stands in the middle). OK, so its missing some of the finer elements--like a roadbed, grass, hills & weathering. But it sure has come a long way from 1 simple oval of track. Make yourself comfortable while railfanning my railroad empire--that's in a small space. And since you're here, check out my channel page (by clicking on the icon or ibiubuok at the top of this column)--see if you're "Addicted to Trains or Model Trains." (By the way, I'm thankful to "Bramptonrailfan" for his suggestions. Check out his videos. They're good!) Your comments & ratings are welcomed. Thanks for watching and please stop by again!

  • i love the conrail switcher, nice layout

  • Thanks for watching. The Conrail switcher you see in this video is a dummy--there's no motor inside. Although I have another Conrail switcher that I've been using as my "camera engine." Thanks again.

  • i only have 6x7 :)

  • I've seen your layout--you've got a nice railroad & rolling stock. Keep up the good work. Happy New Year!

  • You said it--you work with what you've got! Thanks so much for watching.
